ONE EARTH, formerly the AMICUS JOURNAL, is published by the Natural Resources
Defense Council, an environmental watchdog organization. The magazine is
intended to provide the general public with a journal of thought and opinion on
environmental affairs, particularly those relating to policies of national and
international significance. This effort is in keeping with the publisher's
overall program of public interest advocacy and their efforts to expand
knowledge of, and involvement in, environmental protection. AMICUS JOURNAL is
open to diverse points of view and endeavors to stimulate a creative exchange
